Fishing Vests & Chest Packs

A fishing vest is much more than a fashion accessory. It's a convenient problem solving item, just as important as your rod, reel and line.

Maybe, you don't need a fly vest? Maybe you are tired of wearing a vest? Then consider the alternative. Check out our Chest Pack or Chest/Back Pack... details below.

The new range of Guide Series chest and back packs are perfect for the complete range of uses us fly fishers will put them through.
They are all loaded with features, designed by fly fishers, so as you would expect, simply work extremely efficiently.

Each model has varying designs to suit personal preference, but with the travelling angler in mind, both the twin and chest packs allow the “as is” use for short day trips.
But, more importantly the front sections can be clipped into the front of the Guide Series Back pack.
This means you can carry larger items (perhaps for overnight stays), whilst still maintaining the on the water usage features needed.

Australia first entered the World Fly Fishing Championships in May 1987 as an invitation team.

This was done on the understandingthat for Australia to be involved in future competitions, an organisation representing our country and recognised by the International Federation of  Sport Fishing, would be formed.

Fly Fish Australia Incorporated (FFA) was formed in 1989 and became the recognised body by the International Federation of Sport Fishing for the purpose of selecting teams to represent Australia.

The Board reserves the certain rights with regard to certain matters in the final team selection process, but this is done through the team selection panel which is charged with the responsibility of ensuring the best team for the competition type is chosen.
There are now essentially two principal rules that apply for fly fishers to gain selection to an Australian Team.
Firstly, they must be financial members of Fly Fish Australia and, secondly, they must have qualified in competitions which comply with the rules of Fly Fish Australia.
